The doors opened on six new Ronald McDonald Houses, offering 2,800 more families the ability to be there every day with hugs and kisses for their sick children.

Nine-year-old Jaylene Gonzalez is on the way to recovery after a cardiac arrest and stroke that resulted from a severe ear infection. Staying at a Ronald McDonald House, her parents were with her every step of the way, as was her little sister.

Nine more Ronald McDonald Family Rooms now provide a respite for families spending countless hours in hospitals, helping children heal faster because their parents are close by.

Thousands of our future leaders headed off to college recently with RMHC scholarships in hand. Two of our RMHC HACER scholarship winners Sara Rodriguez (Brown University) and Luis Duran (Arizona State University) received $100,000 each because of their academic achievement and community involvement.

Four more Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles are providing much-needed medical care, dental services and health education to an estimated 10,000 underserved children.
