More Than an All-American
Around the arc and under the hoop, there is no doubt that Katie is an all-star. With more than 1,000 career points and more than 800 career rebounds, Katie is a threat to offenses and defenses alike. But beyond athletic prowess, being chosen as a McDonald's All-American and helping to raise money for RMHC means something more.
For Katie, this achievement took competing with an opponent far fiercer than the ones in her Seattle Christian Schools League — Cancer, in particular, APL (acute promyelocytic leukemia.) Fighting, reaching a 95% chance of victory and inspiring others has taken on new dimensions.

$2.3 Million in Funding
In December, RMHC invested more than $2.3 million in funding to other non-profit organizations working to improve the health and well being of children around the world — funding that extends the reach of RMHC, enabling the Charity to do the most good for the most children. |
