Safe and Sound
There is a lot in a child's name. Parents spend hour upon hour debating what they will call the little bundle of joy that is about to arrive: whether it's a family name, beautiful movie star, or favorite athlete that provides the inspiration, the parents want something that's just right.
Yu'an's name means a little something more though. It means 'blessed to be safe and sound' in Mandarin. And she actually received her name after she was born, after her parents found out that she had a rare disease called Citrullinemia, and after her family helped her fight for her health while staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Taiwan.
