Thank You, Dr. Evans At the age of five, Dr. Audrey Evans knew she wanted to be a doctor. She could be found running around her family's house, equipped with her own first aid basket, ready for any sudden medical issue that someone might face. What she perhaps didn't foresee, though, was that she would revolutionize the healthcare industry. Her work in the medical profession not only led her to become the grandmother of pediatric oncology, it also helped the industry move from 0% to 75% survival rates in children with cancer. Through her multidisciplinary approach to medicine and through the founding of the first Ronald McDonald House, she pioneered the notion of family-centered care, both inside and outside of the hospital. La-Z-Boy Now in its 5th year as the Official Furniture Provider for RMHC, La-Z-Boy has donated more than 4,500 pieces of furniture to more than 150 Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms across the U.S. and Canada.
