  A long-time volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Darryl donated his services as a project coordinator for a Ronald McDonald Family Room in the city’s hospital.
  
  Darryl knew the importance a Ronald McDonald Family Room has to a family, as he had slept next to his infant son’s side when he was hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit.
