Help with a “spring cleaning” spruce-up
Ronald McDonald House Charities is committed to providing a clean, healthy environment for the families staying at a Ronald McDonald House or Ronald McDonald Family Room. Like any home, there is always cleaning to be done!
For 12 years, BISSELL has been a worldwide sponsor of the Ronald McDonald House Healthy House Clean Up effort and provides nearly $1000 worth of cleaning equipment and formulas to each of the 184 participating Houses in three countries.
BISSELL employees also donate their time and elbow grease to give the Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ronald McDonald House a deep and healthy spring cleaning.
In the Netherlands, Mrs. Reiny van Dieren is one of the 70 volunteers who work a three hour shift every week in the Ronald McDonald House in Zwolle. Some of that time is spent cleaning. "As a volunteer you work in the background; the guests are the ones that matter the most," said van Dieren. "My goal is to make sure they feel at home in these uncertain times. That means that they don't have to worry about cleaning the kitchen, for example."
