450,000 Night's Sleeps

Tempur-Pedic is in the business of good sleep.

What you might not know though is that Tempur-Pedic is also in the business of making sure families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses get the “best night’s sleep” they need to combat the stress and anxiety they endure as they watch over their child in the hospital.

A little over a year ago Tempur-Pedic realized a void they could help fill. Ronald McDonald Houses promised comfort, support and rest for families in their greatest time of need, but they needed top quality beds to make that rest as good as possible.  In 2010, Tempur-Pedic embarked on a four-year commitment to furnish every Ronald McDonald House in the U.S. with their beds, giving the gift of good sleep to families. Last year alone, they gave more than 1,300 beds to 27 Ronald McDonald Houses – together that’s 450,000 good night sleeps for more than 50,000 families.

“You can’t put a price on the time that parents have to spend with their hospitalized child,” says Mike Mason, director of marketing and public relations for Tempur-Pedic. “We wanted to help make that time the highest quality family time by making sure parents got the rejuvenating rest they needed in the evenings.”

RMHC and the families served through Ronald McDonald House programs are very thankful for the support Tempur-Pedic provides to our system. In fact, over the past year hundreds of families have written thank you notes expressing their gratitude for the gift of good sleep.
