La-Z-Boy Comfort
When you think about La-Z-Boy furniture, you think about comfort – about cozy chairs and sofas and perfect places to take the load off at the end of the day.
You can find families nestled up in La-Z-Boy furniture in millions of homes, but did you also know you can find their unmistakable comfort at Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms throughout North America?
La-Z-Boy is entering its 4th year as the Official Furniture Provider for RMHC. To date, La-Z-Boy along with its dealer partners have donated more than 3,500 pieces of furniture to more than 150 Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms across the U.S. and Canada.
La-Z-Boy’s passion and dedication doesn’t only reside within their corporate offices though, the love of giving back is also shared by the company’s independent La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, who over the past four years have gone above and beyond in their volunteer, fundraising, in-kind and monetary contributions to the Charity. “We are extremely proud of how our retail partners have extended the partnership into their local towns and communities” explains Doug Collier, Chief Marketing Officer and President International for La-Z-Boy. “Many of our retail partners have developed very strong relationships with their local RMHC Chapter, putting a lot of passion and heart behind their contributions.”
For Example, three La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, stand out:
La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Charlotte, North Carolina and Augusta, Georgia
The La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries partner in Charlotte, North Carolina and Augusta Georgia has been one of the preeminent supporters of the RMHC partnership. The organization has provided support to the local houses through volunteering, donating and delivering furniture, and gathering Wish List items for their local Houses.
La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio
Over the past few years, the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries partner in Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio has helped furnish several Ronald McDonald House rooms, including two rooms in the Columbus Ronald McDonald House completely inspired by the Ohio State University. Additionally many of their employees have also volunteered at the local Houses.
La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in London and Toronto, Ontario
The La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries partner in London and Toronto has been very involved in supporting three Ronald McDonald Houses in their province – the South Western Ontario Ronald McDonald House, the London Ronald McDonald House and the newly opened Toronto Ronald McDonald House. The La-Z-Boy partner has volunteered and fundraised, and have made generous contributions of their quality furniture to more than 20 rooms in these Houses.
On La-Z-Boy’s 85th anniversary of providing comfort to families, RMHC, its network of Chapters, and the children and families that we serve, are particularly grateful for La-Z-Boy and their generous contributions to the Charity.

“When Luke is not feeling well, he hops up into his family’s blue La-Z-Boy recliner and rocks to feel better. Luke stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia where he was seeking treatment.”
