Stampin' Up! for RMHC
It’s one of those chilly, rainy days in Albany, New York – one of those days that you need a little pick-me-up while you wait for spring to come.
A group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators has just the trick for the children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany though – stamps, stickers, fun paper, glue, big smiles on their faces, and a lesson in Stampin’ Up!
In the craft room of the House families gather for an afternoon of creativity. The women from Stampin’ Up! have a whole bundle of supplies with them and a special project in mind – creating cards for loved ones. It’s been a stressful week for these families as they watch over their children in the hospital and getting to express themselves through arts and crafts is a welcome distraction.
“Stampin’ Up! volunteers are like a breath of fresh air when they arrive,” says Tina Woodward, volunteer coordinator at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany. “For guests at the House, their efforts provide therapeutic outlets that touch all ages, from a young child, to a parent, to a grandparent. The special touches and kind hearts of Stampin’ Up! help families feel at home when they arrive and cared for during their stay as they face difficult times”
There are more than 40,000 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators with a passion for RMHC and for the past seven years the company has given back to RMHC in a big way. From generous monetary contributions, to creating thousands of greeting cards for Ronald McDonald Houses, to volunteer support throughout the RMHC system, Stampin’ Up! truly brings their mission of connecting people and strengthening relationships with artistic expression to life through their partnership with RMHC.
“I am thrilled that we have had—and continue to have—the opportunity to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities,” says Shelli Gardner, Stampin’ Up! CEO and co-founder. “Your mission is one we feel strongly about, and we are proud to work with you to support and encourage children and their families during very difficult times.”
With each minute of crafting and creating at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany, the children and families find more and more warmth and sunshine to stamp out the April showers. Even if it’s just on a greeting card, Stampin’ Up! knows how to bring the May flowers to a Ronald McDonald House, and RMHC is very grateful for the company’s support.

we love to stamp with the kids. It not only gives them something fun to pass the time but it puts a smile on our faces as well. Sherrill Graff Las Vegas Ronald McDonald House
